The History of the Home
The Salisbury House was nominated as Historic Cultural Monument #204 in 1981. The house was protected from the wrecking ball by long time owner Sergio Gutman, who spent many years stabilizing the home and maintaining it the best he could.
The Restoration
Purchased in 2014, this home was lovingly restored by its current owners, Mosaic Student Communities. The home underwent extensive restoration work done to the exterior as well as interior and infrastructure work. The restoration process took nearly 18 months and was overseen very closely by the City of Los Angeles office of Historic Resources as well as the many admiring local residents.
